Shipping policy
Effective Date: May 7, 2018
Last Updated: August 10, 2026
This Shipping Policy explains the shipping, delivery, pickup, processing, and related practices of Pharmedico Compounding Pharmacy & Wellness ("Pharmedico," "we," "us," or "our").
Because Pharmedico provides both pharmacy services and retail wellness products, shipping availability and requirements may differ depending on the type of product ordered.
1. Prescription vs. Retail Product Shipping
Prescription and Compounded Medications
Pharmedico currently ships eligible prescription and compounded medications only to patients located within the State of Florida.
Prescription medications are not shipped outside Florida unless Pharmedico becomes appropriately authorized to dispense and ship into another jurisdiction.
Prescription shipping is subject to:
- Receipt of a valid prescription
- Pharmacist review
- Patient eligibility
- Prescriber authorization when required
- Medication availability
- Applicable pharmacy laws
- Controlled-substance requirements
- Appropriate storage and shipping conditions
- Professional judgment
Submission of a prescription or payment does not guarantee shipment.
Retail Supplements and Wellness Products
Dietary supplements and other eligible retail wellness products may be shipped separately from prescription medications and may have broader geographic availability.
Retail-product shipping availability will be determined by:
- Destination
- Product restrictions
- Manufacturer restrictions
- Carrier availability
- Applicable laws or import requirements
2. Shipping Destinations
Florida Prescription Shipping
Eligible prescription orders are shipped throughout Florida using UPS Ground for a flat $7 shipping fee. UPS Ground commonly delivers Pharmedico shipments to many Florida destinations within approximately one business day, while some destinations may require two or more business days. Transit times are estimates provided by the carrier and are not guaranteed.
Carrier transit time begins after the prescription has completed pharmacy processing and has been released to UPS. Prescription processing time varies based on the prescribed formulation, ingredient availability, pharmacist review, prescriber authorization, payment, and other applicable pharmacy requirements.
U.S. Retail Orders
Eligible retail products may be shipped to addresses within the United States where permitted.
Some products may be subject to manufacturer, destination, or regulatory restrictions.
Canada
Certain eligible retail wellness products may be available for shipment to Canada.
Prescription medications are not shipped internationally.
Customers ordering eligible retail products for shipment to Canada are responsible for:
- Import eligibility
- Customs requirements
- Duties
- Taxes
- Brokerage charges
- Import restrictions
- Customs delays
Please contact Pharmedico before placing an international retail order if you have questions regarding eligibility.
3. Shipping Carriers
Pharmedico may use carriers including:
- UPS
- USPS
- FedEx
- DHL
- Other qualified delivery services
Carrier selection may depend on:
- Product type
- Destination
- Weight
- Package size
- Delivery speed
- Temperature sensitivity
- Prescription requirements
- P.O. Box destination
- Carrier availability
Pharmedico reserves the right to select the most appropriate carrier for an order.
4. P.O. Boxes
Orders shipped to a P.O. Box generally must be sent using USPS.
Prescription orders shipped to a P.O. Box may require additional transit time compared with UPS delivery to a physical street address.
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and valid mailing address.
5. Processing Times
Retail Products
In-stock retail orders received before approximately 2:00 PM Eastern Time, Monday through Friday, may be eligible for same-business-day shipment.
Same-day shipment is not guaranteed.
Orders received:
- After the daily shipping cutoff
- On weekends
- On holidays
will generally be processed on the next available business day.
Processing time may be affected by:
- Inventory availability
- Carrier schedules
- High order volume
- Weather
- Holidays
- Product restrictions
- Payment verification
- Fraud screening
Prescription and Compounded Medications
Prescription and compounded medications require additional pharmacy processing.
Many prescriptions are prepared and shipped within approximately 24–48 hours after all required prescription information, authorization, clinical review, and payment have been completed.
Some prescriptions may require additional time because of:
- Custom formulation requirements
- Ingredient availability
- Prescriber clarification
- Refill authorization
- Special packaging
- Temperature-control requirements
- Controlled-substance requirements
- Clinical or safety review
Patients should not assume that submission of a prescription automatically starts the shipping timeline.
6. Shipping Rates
Applicable shipping charges, when required, will generally be displayed during checkout or communicated before shipment.
Shipping costs may depend on:
- Product type
- Destination
- Shipping method
- Delivery speed
- Package weight
- Temperature-control requirements
- Special handling
- Promotional or free-shipping offers may apply only to qualifying products, destinations, or order values and may exclude certain prescriptions, expedited shipments, international shipments, or specialty products.
7. Tracking Information
When tracking information is available, Pharmedico may provide it by:
- SMS/text message
- Customer account
- Other electronic notification
Tracking information may not become active immediately after a shipping label is created.
Customers should monitor tracking information and retrieve delivered packages promptly.
8. Temperature-Sensitive Products
Certain medications, probiotics, supplements, or other products may be sensitive to temperature.
When appropriate, Pharmedico may use:
- Insulated packaging
- Cold packs
- Protective materials
- Expedited shipping
- Other temperature-control measures
A cold pack that is partially or completely thawed upon arrival does not necessarily mean that the product has been compromised.
Product stability varies by formulation, manufacturer, temperature, and duration of exposure.
Customers should not make assumptions about product stability based only on the temperature of the shipping package.
If you have concerns regarding the condition of a temperature-sensitive medication or product upon delivery, please contact Pharmedico before using the product.
Pharmedico may consult applicable manufacturer or formulation-specific stability information when evaluating a temperature concern.
9. Severe Weather and Extreme Temperatures
Extreme heat, cold, hurricanes, storms, natural disasters, or other severe weather may affect shipping schedules.
When product integrity may be affected, Pharmedico may:
- Delay shipment
- Upgrade the shipping method
- Use additional packaging
- Contact the patient or customer
- Hold a prescription for pickup
- Reschedule delivery
These precautions may result in additional processing time.
Customers receiving temperature-sensitive products should retrieve packages promptly after delivery and avoid leaving packages exposed outdoors for extended periods.
10. Product Expiration and Shelf Life
Customers should follow the expiration date, best-by date, beyond-use date, storage instructions, and other information provided on the applicable product label.
Pharmedico does not recommend relying on a general rule regarding how long a product remains appropriate for use after an expiration or best-by date.
If a retail product displays a manufacture date rather than an expiration date, shelf-life recommendations may vary by manufacturer.
Please contact Pharmedico or the manufacturer if you have questions regarding:
- Expiration dates
- Best-by dates
- Manufacture dates
- Shelf life
- Storage requirements
Prescription and compounded medications should be used only according to the labeled beyond-use date or expiration date supplied with the medication.
11. Backordered and Out-of-Stock Retail Products
Some retail products may temporarily become unavailable after an order is placed.
If an item is backordered, Pharmedico may:
- Hold the order until the product is available
- Ship available products separately
- Arrange manufacturer or distributor drop-shipping when appropriate
- Contact you with an updated estimated shipping date
- Offer an alternative when appropriate
- Cancel the unavailable item
If a retail product remains unavailable for approximately 21 days, Pharmedico may cancel the affected product and refund the applicable amount.
Prescription medication shortages will be handled separately and may require consultation with the prescriber.
12. Drop-Shipping
Certain retail wellness products may be shipped directly from an authorized manufacturer or distributor.
In those situations:
- Packaging may differ from Pharmedico's standard packaging
- Tracking information may come from the manufacturer or distributor
- Items from the same order may arrive separately
- Processing times may differ
Prescription medications will be dispensed and shipped only in accordance with applicable pharmacy requirements.
13. Delivery and Package Responsibility
Customers are responsible for providing:
- A complete delivery address
- Correct apartment or unit information
- A valid telephone number
- Other delivery information reasonably required by the carrier
Pharmedico is not responsible for delays resulting from incorrect or incomplete information provided by the customer.
If you discover an address error before shipment, contact Pharmedico as soon as possible.
Once a carrier has accepted a package, address changes may not always be possible and may result in additional carrier fees.
14. Packages Marked Delivered but Not Received
If tracking information indicates that a package has been delivered but you cannot locate it:
- Check the delivery location carefully.
- Check with household members, neighbors, reception areas, or property management when appropriate.
- Review the carrier's tracking details.
- Contact Pharmedico promptly.
We will assist you in reviewing available tracking information and may open a carrier investigation when appropriate.
Resolution may depend on:
- Carrier investigation
- Delivery confirmation
- Signature information
- Shipping insurance
- Package value
- Circumstances of the delivery
A carrier's "delivered" status does not automatically determine the final resolution of every claim.
15. Lost or Delayed Packages
Carrier delays occasionally occur.
If a package appears lost or experiences an unusual delay, please contact Pharmedico.
We may:
- Review tracking information
- Contact the carrier
- Open a carrier investigation
- Determine whether replacement or another resolution is appropriate
Prescription medication replacement may require additional pharmacist review and may be subject to legal restrictions.
Controlled substances may have additional requirements.
16. Damaged Shipments
If an order arrives damaged, please contact Pharmedico promptly.
When possible, retain:
- The product
- Original packaging
- Shipping box
- Shipping label
- Packaging materials
We may request photographs or additional information to document the damage.
Do not use a prescription medication if the container, seal, labeling, or medication appears damaged, contaminated, incorrect, or otherwise compromised.
Contact Pharmedico for instructions.
17. Signature Requirements
Pharmedico may require a signature for certain shipments, including:
- Higher-value orders
- Prescription medications
- Controlled substances where applicable
- Temperature-sensitive products
- Replacement shipments
- Orders with increased risk of loss or theft
Signature requirements may be added at Pharmedico's discretion when appropriate for security, patient safety, product integrity, or regulatory compliance.
18. Order Changes and Cancellations
Retail Orders
Contact Pharmedico as soon as possible if you need to change or cancel a retail order.
We cannot guarantee cancellation after an order has entered fulfillment or has been shipped.
Eligible returns will be governed by our Refund Policy.
Prescription Orders
Prescription and compounded medication orders may not be cancelable after preparation has begun.
Because compounded medications are customized for an individual patient, cancellation or refund may not be available after ingredients have been prepared or the medication has been compounded.
Contact Pharmedico immediately if a prescription order needs to be changed or canceled.
19. Prescription Returns
For patient-safety and regulatory reasons, prescription medications generally cannot be returned for resale or reuse after dispensing.
If you believe there has been:
- A dispensing error
- Shipping damage
- Incorrect medication
- Incorrect quantity
- Product-quality issue
- Recall
- Other pharmacy-related problem
contact Pharmedico immediately.
Pharmedico will evaluate the situation and determine the appropriate resolution according to applicable law and pharmacy policy.
20. Retail Returns
Returns involving eligible dietary supplements and other retail products are governed by our Refund Policy.
Please review that policy before returning any item.
Do not mail prescription medication back to Pharmedico unless specifically instructed to do so by a Pharmedico pharmacist.
21. Holidays
Pharmedico generally does not process or ship orders on weekends or recognized company holidays.
Carrier holiday schedules may also affect delivery times.
Orders placed immediately before a weekend or holiday may require additional transit time.
Temperature-sensitive products may be held until an appropriate shipping day to avoid unnecessary carrier delays.
22. Shipping Delays Outside Our Control
Estimated shipment and delivery dates are not guarantees.
Pharmedico is not responsible for delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including:
- Carrier disruptions
- Weather
- Hurricanes
- Natural disasters
- Transportation interruptions
- Labor disruptions
- Government actions
- Customs delays
- Incorrect customer information
- Public emergencies
We will make reasonable efforts to assist customers when shipping problems occur.
23. Prescription Delivery Safety
Patients are responsible for:
- Providing accurate delivery information
- Monitoring delivery tracking
- Retrieving medication promptly
- Following labeled storage requirements
- Keeping medication secure
- Keeping medication away from children and unauthorized individuals
If a medication requires refrigeration or special storage, follow the instructions provided with the medication.
Contact Pharmedico if you are uncertain how a medication should be stored after delivery.
24. Changes to This Shipping Policy
We may update this Shipping Policy periodically to reflect changes in:
- Shipping carriers
- Pharmacy operations
- Product availability
- Geographic availability
- Shipping services
- Regulatory requirements
- Business practices
When changes are made, the Last Updated date at the top of this page will be revised.
